Hafianiti or fianiti[1] is the Chamorro name of the plant which is currently labeled as Freycinetia reineckei. Hafianiti is a climbing woody liana (vine). They may also be seen sprawling along the ground. They have what appears to be two growth forms, short slender leaves and a large leaf form. Both forms can be found in a single area. It may be just that the smaller form is not as well established as older, larger plants. Both forms have shown fruiting and flowering. They are dioecious, meaning that male flowers and female flowers are produced on different plants.
