Summary
This is a rectangular balakbak with two handles and a pull-cord woven in a four-strand diagonal round weave, approximately 3/16" in diameter. One handle is woven around the other at the midpoint. Their ends are inserted through the corners of the cover, laced into the basket and are terminated in the inside bottom of the basket with an overhand knot. The basket has a double lock straight edge closure and is woven in single weave, and the cover is woven in single weave and closed with a nifen halu'u type edge of varying sizes. The pull-cord is attached to the balakbak's cover oriented longways.
